Costa Rica Tasa De Desempleo

The unemployment rate in Costa Rica fell to 8.5% in the second quarter of 2024, down from 9.6% in the same period last year, as the number of unemployed individuals declined by 23.8 thousand from the previous year to 201.1 thousand. Concurrently, the employment rate rose to 51.4%, up from 51.2%, with the number of employed individuals increasing by 35.9 thousand to 2.16 million. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate decreased to 56.2% from 56.6%.
