Francia Business Climate Indicator

France’s business climate indicator held steady at 95 in January 2025, unchanged from the previous month and remaining at its weakest level since July last year. The reading also stayed below the long-term average of 100. Business sentiment was stable across most sectors, including construction (98), services (96), and retail (97). On the other hand, the manufacturing sector’s business climate fell to a three-month low of 95, down from 97 in December. Meanwhile, the employment climate indicator edged up to 98, gaining one point and nearing its long-term average of 100, driven by improved outlooks on future employment in services, excluding temporary work.
