Uruguay Tasa De Inflación

The annual inflation rate in Uruguay marginally increased to 5.10% in February 2025, up from 5.05% in the previous month. Price increases accelerated for housing and utilities (4.43% vs. 1.92% in January), while the deflation in clothing and footwear prices eased (-1.88% vs. -2.66%). Meanwhile, the growth in costs slowed for food and non-alcoholic beverages (3.86% vs. 4.27%), transportation (7.07% vs. 7.73%), and restaurant and food services (7.51% vs. 7.67%). Month-over-month, consumer prices rose by 0.69%, slowing from the 1.1% increase seen in the previous month.
