Hungría Tasa De Desempleo

The unemployment rate in Hungary stood at 4.4% in October-December 2024, unchanged from the same period last year. The number of unemployed individuals dropped by 1.6 thousand year-on-year to 216.3 thousand. Of this total, 113.8 thousand were men and 102.5 thousand were women, with both genders reporting a jobless rate of 4.4%. The average time spent looking for a job was 11.9 months, with 47.5% of all unemployed had been looking for a job for less than 3 months while those looking for work at least a year accounted for 34.3% of the unemployed. Meanwhile, the number of employed persons declined by 23.5 thousand to 4.689 million. Employment among men fell by 26.6 thousand to 2.481 million, while employment among women rose by 3.1 thousand to 2.208 million.
